And while we’re on the topic…

I’m currently reading The Paris Wife written from the perspective of Ernest Hemingway’s first wife, Hadley. I love, love, love any and every story that takes place in 1920’s Europe. The elegant fashion, mass alcoholism, expressionist art, and fascination with jazz….ooh! I just find it all so romantic and heartbreaking at the same time.

I secretly dream of wasting the night away sipping a Manhattan while reading Carl Sandburg and tapping my t-bar pump to Louis Armstrong. Ah, I’m in love with the “Age of Wonderful Nonsense” and all it had to offer young, modern women and artists everywhere.
